Fitment Instructions & Diagrams

Diagrams:

Tools Required:
- Cordless Drill with 5 & 8mm drill bits
- 8 & 13mm spanner/wrench
- 3, 5 & 6mm Allen keys
- Measuring Tape or ruler
- Marking pen
- Large Adjustable wrench/shifter (V1 & V6 only)
- T-Board or something flat to support the bottom of the seat (new seat fitment only)

Fitment Instructions:

Steps: Go straight to step 4 if you already have a seat fitted or straight to step 7 if you are only fitting side plates.

  1. Place the seat in your desired or recommended seat position. Use a T-Board or something flat to support the bottom of the seat. Place a weight in the seat to hold it still.
  2. Mark the side holes on the seat and drill through with an 8mm drill bit.
  3. Bolt the sides of the seat in as you normally would including any spacers required. Do not fit side plates yet.
  4. a) Fit both Fast Adjusters to chassis in the middle position. Check this by having the upper and lower piece of the adjuster’s flush (even) at the end. If you cannot fit the adjuster in due to height constraints to the seat, set the adjuster further forward in 10mm increments from the middle position. This will match the 10mm increments on the side plates. 
    b) It is recommended to leave enough room for at least one aluminium seat washer between the seat and the adjusters. An angled washer (supplied) may also be required if the surface of the seat is not parallel with the face of the adjusters.
    c) V1 & V6 Fast Adjusters only – make sure that when the adjusters are mounted, they are horizontal to the chassis. If not, adjust the metal tabs on the chassis with an adjustable wrench/shifter. If the adjusters are not horizontal, the height of the seat will be affected when changing the seat position. The bottom piece of the adjuster must also be sitting directly down on the curve of the chassis mount (the bolt hole on the adjuster is slotted to help this).
  1. Mark and drill the bottom holes in the seat with an 8mm drill bit.  Use a bolt in the top of the adjuster with it unscrewed against the seat to help mark out the holes before drilling.
  2. Bolt seat to the Fast Adjusters.
    a) Fill the space left between the seat and the adjusters with the seat spaces/washers you require.
    b) The correct length bolt must be used to fix the seat to the adjusters. The bolt must have a minimum thread engagement of 8mm and a maximum of 15mm. Check this by having one thread engaged and measuring from the head of the bolt down to the top surface of the seat.
  3. Remove the side seat bolts and fit the side plates.
    a) If your adjusters are set in the middle position use the middle hole (#4) on the side plates
    b) If your adjusters are set forward you will need to use the holes in the plate accordingly. This will allow you to have the same amount of travel as the adjusters (E.g., If you are 10mm forward on the adjusters you need to be one hole backward on the side plates).
    c) Adjust the side plates to make sure they are perfectly horizontal and parallel with the chassis.
    d) Mark the two 5mm holes for the side plates, drill through and bolt plates to the seat.
  4. Drill through any of the other 8mm holes you plan to use for seat adjustment. It is recommended you only drill the holes as required to reduce damage to the seat but it is personal preference.
  5. Double check all fixings are tight.
